Support for Lifestyle Changes

Lifestyle changes are most successful when taken step by step, focusing first on what is already working well.

How to Adopt New Habits?

Lifestyle changes are easier to implement when they fit into daily life, bring something positive, and feel meaningful. Small changes are easier to adopt and have a longer-lasting impact. There is no need to change everything at once – small steps can lead to great progress.

The thought of a lifestyle change can often trigger feelings of guilt. We may feel that we should change, but we don’t have the energy, time, or ability to do so. Sometimes, we simply don’t feel motivated.

Resistance in our minds is natural and often stems from the perception that changes are too big or difficult. If change means giving up enjoyable things, imposing unpleasant restrictions, or requiring too much effort, it’s no wonder that the idea feels unappealing. Why even try something that feels impossible to maintain?

Start by focusing on what is already working well in your lifestyle. It’s easier to build upon existing good habits. Recognising positive aspects strengthens your sense of capability and motivation to try new things. Lost motivation is often rediscovered by concentrating on what is already good and reinforcing it. At the same time, you begin to see yourself as the expert of your own life, which inspires a desire to develop and improve your lifestyle.

Try out new habits that support what is already good in your life. This is how your internal motivation grows – and the path to lasting change opens up.
